'We are part of the diversity in Milton'

To the Editor:

I thought that the Milton Times did a nice job with the Valentine's Day edition. The stories were touching

and sweet.

However, I don;t think that the collection of tales fully captured the broad diversity that exists in our


As John and I approach our 15th wedding anniversary, and considering those of us who waited for years

for gay marriage to become legal in Massachusetts (almost 20 years in our case), it would have been nice

to see one of our stories on the front page.

This is an important milestone for gay people and it would be great for us to be recognized and celebrated

by our broader community.

We are part of the diversity in Milton. There are so many other stories to be told and accomplishments to

be celebrated.
