Arriving at the ballpark every day and getting better.

That’s the message that Milton High head baseball coach Brendan Morrissey and his staff preach to their players every practice and every game.

Since the middle of March, the Wildcats baseball team has shown up to the field each day and noticeably been improving.

Behind clutch hitting and strong pitching, Milton started the season 2-1 with road wins over Bay State Conference rivals Framingham and defending Division 1 state champion Needham.

“They have been team wins,” Morrissey said, “(The team) has focused on the little things and competed with every pitch.”
